Hayden Turner's Wildlife Challenge: Mona and Columbus Monkeys

Brief Summary

Hayden's challenge in Ghana is to film two very different species of monkey. From the capital, Accra, Hayden heads north, to the Ashanti city of Kumasi, at the centre of Ghana's forest zone, figuring that the forest is probably the best place to start. Kumasi boasts the largest market in West Africa - a good place to stock up on supplies and buy a good luck charm to guarantee the completion of his challenge. Unfortunately, all the tourist offices in the city are closed. Desperate to continue his travels, he canvasses opinion at a bar about the best location to find monkeys. He is told to head for a village reserve, which he reaches after a 7 hour minibus journey on dirt roads. The small guesthouse is clean and welcoming - but there is no electricity, so Hayden hits the sack. The next morning, he leaves the guesthouse for a stroll round the village - where are the monkeys he has come so far to see?
