The weathering power of wind and water then fashioned this distinctive landscape. Ethiopia’s mountains are a refuge for rare Gelada baboons, Lammergeier vultures and the endangered Ethiopian wolf. Those same mountains have also been a haven for the world’s major religions. Judaism, Islam and Christianity have all found a home here at one time or another. For as long as anyone can remember, Ethiopians have been a deeply spiritual people. "
